The poor father lost his son, daughter in law and grandkids and he won’t be supported by a community because he has to carry his son’s shame. Having to watch your son facing the consequences that will leave him to hell on earth in jail

I feel bad for him as a parent, because I would be wondering what I could have done different for a different outcome. I would obsess over every time I disciplined or lost my patience to think of if I had done something different would this have not happened.

He doesn't look like he believes in his innocence to me.Yeah he looks like he questions where he may have failed his son. The texts must have built a lump in his throat. He may have loved his daughter in law and you can imagine losing 2 people at the same time.

When he chose to kill his wife he chose to break the spirits of everyone who loved them. it was incredibly selfish of him on many levels. I have the utmost empathy for his dad (his mom doesn’t believe he did but i still empathize with her!) but i do not have a DROP of empathy for caleb. Maybe once he settles into prison he can start reflecting on the damage he did. to his children especially.
