omg!! did you use glue?? sometimes glue can have exothermic reaction and if bottle was sealed it couldn’t take as much pressure!

As you move it to paint it, the pressure built up from the sparking prosecco. I’m sorry it was beautiful! Try another bottle that isn’t sparkling.

Did you move it around a lot when doing the craft? Since it’s sparkling, it built quite a bit of pressure! Next time don’t move it or choose a non sparkling option
