@insideedition: A fundraiser for an 81-year-old delivery man in Texas whose wife was purportedly battling cancer captured the hearts and sympathies of people across the country. But now it seems things may have been different. Donations raised by the GoFundMe campaign have been returned. Inside Edition's @alisonhallreporting reports there were suspicious details in the video of Donald Johnson carrying what appeared to be a load of heavy bags.

✨ :

The TikTok page with the video started off claiming to be the “stranger” and then suddenly the daughter was posting videos directly on that TikTok. I called that out and she blocked me.

Tammy :

See, I still feel bad for this guy. Can’t someone set up a GFM that’s legit?

🤓 Sheila G. 👿 :

They lying and scamming

clm :

Hmmm. USED to do? He doesn’t still work there? I realize now that it seems kind of suspicious that those suitcases were so big, and that he took them both up at once. Seems like the more sensible thing would’ve been to take one at a time, but it made for a good video

lili :

Just leave them alone , people have a choice to donate or not.

Lethal 117 :

I need to do this instead of strugglin.

Bert Dore :

Scammers will scam no matter what!!!!!!

fran :

My first thought before all this came to light was why did he bring up the suit cases at the same time if he was really struggling and not one by one

sherbet :

Nat :

Theft by deception

DJ :

I worked with Don, he's legit.

Beeatrice :

So by the time the video was recorded was he not working there anymore?

carter.m.j :

So dumb. The situation is real. Why does the type of camera matter 🙄

Kat :

Why are you still talking about this family! Can’t you leave them alone?!

y :

These luggage from airport don’t even have tags on it [Tears of joy]

jute :

Bojana :
