"I deserved the distance, Bam... everything I went through, I deserved it," Oom replied softly, her voice trembling slightly as she held Bam's intense gaze. "And whatever stands between us, I am willing to tear them apart, no matter how long it takes for you to accept me back." Bam stayed silent, her eyes slowly reddening as raw emotion threatened to spill over, but her hand remained steadfast against Oom's cheek, her thumb continuing its gentle, protective stroke across her warm skin. Oom’s eyes welled with fresh, sweet tears. She leaned into Bam's palm, turning her head slightly to press a gentle kiss into the bandaged palm of Bam's hand. "I'm sorry for making you worry, Bam," Oom whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I won't ever run recklessly again. I missed you so much, you know." "I missed you too, baby," Bam murmured, the affectionate term falling off her tongue so naturally that Oom's breath hitched in her throat. Bam leaned down, closing the small distance between them. Her lips met Oom’s in a soft, tender, and lingering kiss, a sweet re-affirmation of their bond that carried neither rush nor demands, only pure, quiet devotion. Oom closed her eyes, melting into the warmth of the kiss, her uninjured hand tangling gently into the hair at the nape of Bam's neck. When Bam finally pulled back just an inch, her forehead rested against Oom’s, their quiet breaths mingling in the warm space between them. "Now," Bam murmured, a faint, teasing glint returning to her dark eyes as her hand rested on Oom's hip. "Are you going to let me help you brush your teeth and get dressed today, or are you going to run away to the bathroom again?" Oom pouted playfully, her cheeks flushing a delicious pink as she remembered yesterday's shameless shower incident. "Dr. Saralee, you are entirely too daring lately." "I told you," Bam whispered, her lips brushing against Oom's ear, sending a delicious shiver straight down her spine. "Since yesterday, everything has changed. You're stuck with me now, Eisaya." Oom let out a soft, happy laugh, burying her face into Bam's chest once more as the quiet apartment filled with the effortless warmth of two hearts finally back where they belonged. A moment later, Bam gently threw back the duvet and scooped Oom into her arms, carefully carrying her toward the en-suite bathroom. "Bam! I can walk!" Oom squeaked, holding onto Bam's shoulders. "Your knees are scraped, Eisaya. Stay still," Bam replied calmly, setting her down gently on the stool near the sink. With incredible patience, Bam dampened a towel to clean Oom's face, then applied toothpaste to a brush, holding it out for her. When it came time to get dressed, Bam picked out a cozy pastel sweater and soft pants. She carefully guided Oom’s uninjured arm through the sleeve first, her fingers brushing tenderly over Oom's skin, before gently easing the rest of the shirt over her head and adjusting her arm sling. "There," Bam murmured softly, leaning in to press a light kiss on Oom's nose. "All clean and warm." Oom blushed, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Thank you, Bam, you're taking such good care of me." "I always will," Bam said, her voice dropping into a tender murmur before she turned to head into the kitchen to prepare breakfast. While Bam was busy plating a fresh meal in the kitchen, the electronic keypad at the front door suddenly beeped, followed by the heavy clatter of footsteps bursting inside. Bee, Bint, and Engfa barged into the apartment, panic etched across their faces. They had been worried sick after calling Bam endlessly with no answer, especially after discovering she hadn't returned to Bee's apartment the night before. "Bam! Where on earth have you." Bee started yelling, but stopped dead in her tracks upon seeing Bam standing calmly by the kitchen counter, wearing an apron and setting down two plates. #oombam #bamsaralee #oomeisaya #aurecommendation #austory
