@thedirtyraven: BLACK SESAME COVERED CABBAGE There is something missing from cooking maybe I just don’t see it in my world that’s also entirely possible. On the flipside I think a lot of the cases we are just stuck in recipes and recipes are amazing and recipes are fantastic ways to get better at cooking but what happens is the second we start to deviate from a recipe there’s a moment of panic that is holding us back from creating some fantastic things. This recipe is just a product of pure necessity, of looking in the fridge and being like “holy shit I don’t have anything in here”. We are however, going to be making something right now so I gotta cook with what I got and what I got is going to be everything and I’m gonna give everything that I got into making it. There’s just no world where I would come with this recipe outside of this situation and part of that kind of the best part about cooking. People who are great at cooking or even really good at cooking or even like pretty damn good at cooking can cobble something together just from everything that they have and making a really beautiful dish that’s delicious and so she hates everyone and feeds the family. Think about the desperation it must’ve taken to crack open a bone and be like I don’t know man there’s probably something in here. We can suck out of it boom bone marrow French classic. RECIPE 🥬for the cabbage 🥬 1/2 head of cabbage, cut into wedges 1/4 cup of black toasted sesame seeds 1 tablespoon of tomato paste 1 tablespoon of mayo 1 tablespoon of soy sauce 1. Preheat your oven to 425F. Combine the tomato paste, mayo and soy sauce together. Brush your cabbage with your paste, then press it directly into your sesame seeds. 2. On medium heat with a skillet, place your sesame crusted cabbage into the pan until crispy. Flip it over then oven roast until crunchy but tender. 🍛 for curry 🍛 1. While you wait, make your curry however you like (I used canned green curry, 1/2 diced shallot, 1 minced clove of garlic & some coconut milk) 🍅 for the garnish 🍅 5 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half 1/2 shallot, sliced 1 tbsp of black sesame 10 leaves of basil chopped 1 tbsp crispy garlic 1. Mix! #cabbagerecipe #roastedcabbage #sesameseeds #vegetablerecipes #eatyourveggies
