how do you navigate being genuine and talking to people in camera vs engaging with the algorithm and what it rewards? I've started making videos thinking I should somehow appeal to the algorithm in order to be seen (I am very interested in the topics I'm talking about, and I think they're important), but I fkn hate it. I hate having to try to play the jester game where I'm trying to capture someone's attention every 3 seconds, or change my voice to sound more... I don't know, bubbly? I'm still at the beginning, and I haven't found yet what feels authentic in terms of speaking into the void. I encountered this term called context collapse, and I think it's one of the things that makes me feel confused when I'm filming. I don't know who I'm talking to. and I guess I am different to different people, and it's hard to not only not cringe, but to form actual normal sentences outside of a script. so weird, right? since we're doing that in real life all the fucking tiiiimeee. anyway, ramble over. love your videos x
