Fully forgot about Will looking like Cocomelon 👶😛 Sometimes it can be stressful to see other babies on instagram eating huge plates of food when your baby isn’t eating very much & you’re left wondering if it’s normal. My youngest son took a few months to really eat anything - he would have taste and a bite sometimes but barely ingested anything - so I totally understand how stressful this can be, and frustrating to make meals for them only to not get eaten. This was my third child and I didn’t have time as a busy mum to make him seperate meals that I knew would go to waste, so he mainly just ate a derivative of our meals or something very quick and easy We focused on foods high in iron, nutrient dense and the top allergens - Our go-to’s were (ps ALL these recipes are in our book Milk to Meals) - slow cooked meats and vegetables like brisket, lamb shanks, poached chicken - pan fried liver - tinned fish or baked fish - egg omelette with leftover veg and liver powder cooked in ghee - nut butters spread on finger foods - puree turned into gelatin gummies But just remember whilst we want to focus on high iron foods & top allergens, their primary nutrition is coming from their breastmilk or formula. It’s our job as parents to offer the foods but we cannot force our kids to eat - so offer and model yourself eating these same foods and they will follow suit eventually ❤️ however if your baby is not eating anything by 9 months, or if you’re concerned then you might like to seek some advice from a occupational therapist, speech pathologist or feeding therapist 💕 Did it take your baby a while to get into solids?? #boobtofood #babyfood #milktomeals #startingsolids #blw
