i'm a certified t swift hater (for who she is as a person rather than one of those "omg she only writes about men" types) but her old stuff is genuinely good. there are some popular songs i haven't gotten the hype around, like mirrorball and cruel summer and others, but it's only the last few albums that i would say have been actually bad. she needs to sit down and take her time to think and write and reflect instead of pushing out an album once a year. she has songs that are absolutely beautiful. ronan gets me emotional every time. but what she's been releasing these past few years has just been bad

I’m a fan, but it has always sounded like this. Babylon sounds like Folklore. Cleveland sounds like Lover. Patient Zero sounds like TTPD. Pink Clouding sounds like 1989 and/or Lover. I don’t see the massive departure from her previous work that other “Swifties” are seeing now.
