And here’s a complete travel guide if you’d like to discover this island paradise for yourself 🌿 Welcome to Koh Lipe, often nicknamed the “Maldives of Thailand” and it’s easy to see why - this place is INCREDIBLE with the most gorgeous white sand beaches and clearest water you ever did see 🚣‍♀️ How to get there? The only way to reach Lipe is by boat, often times this will be a speedboat ferry and you can take it from places like Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Phuket or Langkawi in Malaysia (as well as other places!) - book tickets in advance using 12go Koh Lipe is part of the Tarutao National Marine Park so you’ll pay an entrance fee of 200 THB per person on arrival which is valid for your whole stay 📆 How many nights? We stayed for 4 nights and it was perfection (both commented we could’ve stayed here a whole month haha!), I’d say try to carve out at least 3 nights in your Thailand itinerary for this place ☀️ When to go? Dry season runs from Nov-April so is the best time to go, peak is usually Dec-Feb so try to go more on the edges of dry season (you may trade some sunshine for less people haha) 🏝 Beaches? The beaches here are incredible. here’s a few favourites (which is almost all of them haha) Sunrise beach - where you’ll see all the boats tied up and great for sunrise Sunset beach - a smaller beach well placed for sunset but great all day with a nice beach bar North Point beach - my favourite beach! popular also for sunset, Zodiac beach bar here is lovely Moons beach - second favourite!! just off the end of sunrise beach Kla Island - rent a kayak (250 THB for 2 hours) and paddle over to Kla Island in 10 mins to have the island to yourself and the BEST snorkelling 🍜 Bars and restaurants? Zodiac Beach Bar, Elephant, Owl Cha, Glow Noodle House, Pizza Time, Bombay Indian Restaurant, Ranee Seafood 🛺 How to get around? Koh Lipe is tiny and super walkable, there are also plenty of tuk tuk taxis which cost 100 THB for wherever you want to go 🏨 Where to stay? There are options for EVERY budget on Lipe, if you’re looking for a good mid range hotel stay at Mountain Resort - it has the best views over North Point beach
