@drpsychinthecity: Akathisia vs. anxiety is important to distinguish- as the plan to address one is often the opposite of the other. In psychiatry we see akathisia often. In some cases, it is mild and tolerable. In other cases it is completely untenable and debilitating. #akathisia #anxiety #MentalHealth #psychiatry #sideeffects
Yes got this so bad from buspar and Lexapro and 5 months later still dealing with it. Starting to lose faith it’s going to go away. Propranolol helped some but not much. Working at desk job is very hard

Stacieeee :
I got terrible akithisia from taking vraylar. it was within a week and I genuinely thought I was going to die. it felt like my bones were trying to come out from under my skin, and like there was huge pressure in them like a blown up balloon. I was miserable until I quit the med altogether

Stacy in Menopause :
I just wonder if this is what I had (kinda still do) after reducing my buspar (now off) and tapering off an opioid for my frozen shoulder all while in the terrible clutches of menopause going through adjustments in HRT? My legs never stop even on my gabapetin (for neuropathy from sjorgrens) and I mean never, I never sleep more than two hours and I literally cry non stop just not sure how much more I can do. Physch dr did put me on low dose of Valium for three days snd it helos

Dr. Kïrsten Thompson, MD :
Even low doses can cause this. What have you experienced akathisia from? And what did it feel like?
