people forget that mgs4 is pretty much mgs1 but a few years later. it has the same story, the same bosses, the same final fight, the same epilogue. From the lore perspective the SOP system manipulated things to protect itself, including the b&b corps that mimic the fox hound unit that was during the shadow moses incident.

And the worst part is that they make him come back after a boss fight with Screaming Mantis whole sad backstory, just to interrupt the game and make a scene of how he can’t do his tricks anymore (see your memory data and take controll of your controller) because you’re on a better and more advanced console now. Literally they assassinated his character just to glaze ps3 in a very bad moment

i think thats the point in a way. mgs4 critiques endless sequels which makes characters lose their depths, and often even their whole development - and he is the best example of that

Thank you for putting my thoughts into words dj 😭😭 while I was hyped to see psycho mantis again having him reappear just to be like “look! I can still move your controller!” And then just die really left a sour taste in my mouth. Took what little character development he had and just threw it out the damn Hind D just to have him glaze the new gen console 😭
