When 50 dudes receive groupchat messages as it’s happening and are being invited to join in AS IT’S HAPPENING and none of them did a fucking thing to stop it, that should tell you everything you need to know about why so many women can’t be fucked saying anything. Cuz if a pack of dudes - if a society - can ignore it AS IT IS HAPPENING, the problem feels fucking insurmountable and you feel fucking alone.

Reported literally an hour after it happened. Cops laughed at me and asked if I was reporting because I didn’t get off. I was 19 standing in a country town police station bruised, and battered and they laughed. They all joked they would happily take me out back and finish the job if I liked. They told me if they took all the reports they got after BnS’s seriously they would have no one to play rugby the next weekend. I just turned and walked out. 25 years later I know that the response today would be the same. It’s not just the US. I’ve read the statement by the girl. It’s written in such a way that every woman who reads it knows that girl wasn’t consenting she was deescalating. Even in her drugged and drunken state she knew that if she fought she wouldn’t make it out alive. Also it’s the police reporting not the actual interview. We have no idea what questions they were asking to lead to the “quotes” in that statement.

It happened to me in November 24. It was an immediate report, the police drove me to the hospital. I got my DNA kit back in January. Been set as a reserve trial twice this year. Now the defence lawyer doesn’t have availability until January. It’s been set as another reserve trial for Mid January 2027 so probably won’t go ahead again.

I was 14 and walked into a police station and told them I was gang raped by 4 men, they laughed at me and said what did I expect, my dress was too short. I left. Sydney 1983. The system is not working and never has for women.

With all respect and I mean no offense to you, have you read the case? I obviously believe rape to be a severe charge and a heinous crime that should be taken seriously but the evidence is overwhelmingly against her. Not enough sufficient evidence to make that claim with absolute certainty the boys are guilty. The victim originally reported the to the DA she voluntarily consensually engaged in intercourse with 2 boys whilst doing drugs and two years later said 7 boys were involved. She likely felt guilty and ashamed for her behavior and wanted to save her campus reputation and placed the blame on the boys to save her image and story.The Snapchat message is not sufficient evidence beyond reasonable doubt to convict these men of rape. DA was hesitant to pick up this case due to the discrepancy between her original story and the recent one. Please read cases and process the information to the best of your ability. And yes the snap message “ free pss” is completely disturbing but this alone is not sufficient beyond reasonable doubt. The case is being publicized nationally and all the men alleged in the crime are being subject to ridicule, ruthlessly attacked and demonized ( having their names and pictures revealed etc) . Death threats and so on without the case having been processed. Best to allow the case to go through instead of making hasty conclusions with insufficient evidence. I have never laid my hands on woman or been openly tolled I was an issue ( most of them time I’ve been called gentlemanly), just because I so happen to have a different interpretation in a legal case does not mean I don’t support the welfare of women. I would argue that this case is going to harm women the way it is going unfortunately. A victims claim should not be unanimously accepted immediately, the public if they are to act in good faith should wait until further relevant information is available rather than coming to hasty conclusions and jeopardizing people’s reputations.

Hey, do the victims in Australia make a statement to the police department under oath saying that the sex was consensual She explained both threesomes and taking ketamine off of Boys’s penis were her decision. Also, every time she said stop they did and then she texted to one of the boys saying she wants to hang out with them again she she didn’t want to do it with everybody, but with him again and no ketamine, but none of the sex was un consensual. We also have to leave room that that’s what she wanted to do because that’s what she chose to do and that’s OK. We’re not gonna shame her because of what she wanted to do to have fun but you also don’t ruin six other people two years later for money. If she wanted to file criminal charges, she should’ve done that now. But she knows what she said to police and it’s in writing and you can look it up online so I appreciate your point that sometimes it takes a long time to figure it all out, but she explained her level of intoxication all during the night and all the multiple threesomes and everything else in depth with the police department in 2024.

As a Gen X woman who grew up in the 90’s…it wasn’t until the #metoo movement that i realised how many times i’d been talked into sex in my lifetime & just did it as i should because he’d paid for drinks etc…i’d even been talked into it from my husband post childbirth because it had been so long & he didn’t find me attractive as a pregnant woman….reality hits harder when you never thought of it as abuse….however i’ve now got two daughters & a son - my education to them is if it’s not an enthusiastic yes then it’s a no….sex can be & is amazing when all parties what to participate….what happened in cornell university wasn’t an enthusiastic yes it was control, manipulation & abuse- all 57 men stood by & let it happen & then men in power excused it & let it slide with the submission of an essay….

@Appreciate men speaking out, rape culture begins way before a women is raped. Can you share what you have said when you were in a room and men made derogatory remarks about women, sexist jokes or made another woman in the room feel uneasy with suggestive comments? Men and boys need to be coached on how to navigate these situations. If you haven’t done this, maybe you can share what stopped you so conversations around why can begin.
