@jaykingz01: 🚪 THE DOOR IS OPEN FOR KOKOPO! Lorna McPherson drops a major hint for the 2028 season! 🌴🏉 Chiefs Nation, we have some massive news coming straight from our CEO, Lorna McPherson! While the Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby is locked in as our main home ground for the historic 2028 debut season, the franchise has officially NOT ruled out taking an NRL premiership match to Kokopo, East New Britain, in the future! This comes right as Kalabond Oval undergoes a major rehabilitation project to bring the facility up to elite standards. MY PERSONAL VIEW: This is exactly what rugby league in PNG is all about—unity and spreading the game beyond just the nation's capital! Bringing an NRL match to the New Islands Region would be an absolute game-changer. Imagine the atmosphere at a fully upgraded Kalabond Oval, with thousands of passionate East New Britain fans screaming for the Chiefs. If the facility upgrades hit the mark, this could be an unforgettable experience. Let’s get that stadium ready because regional PNG deserves to taste live NRL action! 🇵🇬🔥 What do you think, Chiefs fans? Should Kokopo host a game in 2028? Drop your thoughts below! 👇 Source: The National (thenational.com.pg) #PNGChiefs2028 #ChiefsNationPNG #NRL2028 #Kokopo #KalabondOval

I really support this initiative, coz east new Britain is a very nice place and peaceful people there who have respects in everything..has unique cultures very beautiful places to visit for those visiting teams from Australia..which I think they will really love to and promotes our culture and tourism as well.
