I am still a student of the OBD Original Buddha Doctrine as well for 50 years. I now see the correct version of what the Buddha experienced. 1) He realized after 6 years of self-mortification along with the 5disciples that meditation was wrong ! It kept you deep within the mind ( Manasa), which was like a monkey, jumping all over and not allowing the Path. He left them, did a river bath, ate the food provided by Sujatha and “ went in the middle path by eating to survive and be healthy “. Then he did the reverse of meditation. Stopped the “ thought process “ which took one year ! That is Cheto VIMUKTHI, which means cessation of thoughts for sometime. Then the bond between Kaya and Manasa ( physical and mind ) called Tanha, gave way, leading to the wisdom pañña which takes you to be Buddha or Arahat in stages. There is NO OTHER WAY. Everything else is Hindu/Jain called Niganta. People cannot see this. Sad. There are regular talks by those who have entered the Path. Join FREE “ Denageneemen Nivanata “ and “ Buddha intelligence “ and ask all the questions you have. The Buddha spoke at a Quantum level, because He saw the Quantum nature of things. In fact Anicca. Dhukka. Anatta. Yamakaya can be seen at a Quantum level, where He said that “ consciousness creates reality “ for the first time in human existence ! Now Physicist are saying that.
