Amazing content! As a pregnant woman, I find concerning how many specialists do not want to take decisions on my health just because I am pregnant. My dentist recently suggested that I get a cavity removed without anaesthesia because he was not aware of pregnancy-safe anaesthetic (and he had me asking my gynaecologist about that 🫠)

YES! I had 6 kids in 9.5 years. I spent 12 years pregnant and/or breastfeeding so when I needed to see a specialist about something I heard very often that I couldn’t be helped by them because I was pregnant. It’s insane.

I was very happy with my GI care during my pregnancy it was very collaborative with my OB. I stayed on my biologic during both pregnancies at the advice of my GI dr. IBD gal here 😁

My ob has me on zofran plus reglan and it’s changed my nausea so much. If I skip it I get so sick. I love taking my ppi as well! The benefit outweighs the risk for me.

When I was 8 weeks pregnant, I desperately needed to be transferred to a larger hospital and my Dr had to call 17 different (all appropriate) teams to try and get me accepted because half of them thought I was too pregnant for them and the other half thought I wasn't pregnant enough 😩

i love this. I work in primary care. I always tell my pregnant patients if it’s non ob related i’m happy to see them. I’m a mom of three young kids and remember all too well how little help I could get during pregnancy because no one wanted to touch me 😅

omg yes doctors outside of OBs are so scared of pregnant people, I've basically given up trying to get seen by a doctor or dentist when I'm pregnant... which happens to be 3 times in the last 5 years so.... i haven't been in about 5 years.
