Often people won’t get subtle hints so it also needs addressing directly which means tolerating short term discomfort. Here are 3 steps I would recommend: 1️⃣ Ask their permission to speak to them about something sensitive. This is respectful 2️⃣ Be respectful and stick to the facts. Lead with care. For example: “I know it can be difficult to notice these things in ourselves, so I wanted to bring something to your attention. I’ve noticed that sometimes your breath has a strong smell.
