@thegrapevineedit: ⚡️ THE MAGIC IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! 🪄❄️ The first carve is complete, and Harry Potter is officially starting to take shape at Gaylord Texan! 👀 Fifty master ice artisans from Harbin, China, have arrived in Grapevine and are now spending the next several weeks transforming more than 2 million pounds of ice into this year’s all-new ice! featuring Harry Potter™. 🧊🪄 And these aren’t just any ice carvers. Harbin is known as China’s “Ice City” and home to the world-famous Harbin Ice Festival. The artisans bring generations of ice-sculpting techniques with them and they’ll spend about six weeks carving thousands of massive blocks of ice into the Wizarding World. 🇨🇳➡️✨ The finished experience will feature more than 10 Harry Potter-themed scenes, including Hogwarts, Hogsmeade Station, the Forbidden Forest and the Great Hall, all kept at a VERY chilly 9 degrees. 🥶 This is video from the first carving a couple years ago. We were lucky enough to get exclusive behind-the-scenes access! The magic opens November 13 and runs through January 3. And here’s the really fun part: Harry Potter has never before been the theme of Gaylord’s ice! experience. Grapevine is getting the debut! 🧙‍♂️⚡️ So yes, Christmas is still a little ways away. But apparently, the ice wizards have already clocked in. 🪄❄️
