It was on this date that Rwanda secured, for the first time in its history, a place in the final phase of the Africa Cup of Nations.🇷🇼🤍 The hero of the day was Jimmy Gatete. The striker scored the only goal of the match, capitalizing on a mistake by the Ghanaian central defense led by Samuel Osei Kuffour. After the goal, the packed Amahoro Stadium erupted in victory chants. Jimmy Gatete is considered to date to be one of the best strikers Rwanda has ever known, according to Rwandan football experts.
