well done mr but you can't take it as rule because of we take sto _stop as example we can't say that all the words that start with (sto )have the same pronunciation for instance (Story)it's pronounced as Story not stary so we can't make it rule. im not trying to be jerk but the right way is to teach them the vowel combinations pls spelling patterns and Letter combinations.
