@menacemmahq: Conor McGregor got his own Twitter account locked by singing about being locked up. While sidelined from the UFC since his July 2021 leg injury, McGregor posted an electrifying voice note on X in November 2023, singing his own rendition of an Akon hit about being trapped and unable to get out, widely seen as a metaphor for his UFC exile. Akon's team filed a copyright complaint over the cover, getting McGregor's account locked, and McGregor fired back with relentless mockery of Akon on Instagram, including an explosive parody diss track built on another one of the singer's songs. McGregor got his comeback in July 2026 against Max Holloway in a welterweight bout at UFC 329, though the fight ended in a devastating first-round injury, extending his wait to return to mixed martial arts.
