He wasn't saying the least Christian is more holy or more valuable than John. He was talking about kingdom privilege. Abraham received the promise. Moses received the Law. John prepared the way for the Messiah. But they were pointing toward what Jesus would accomplish. Through Christ, the new covenant arrived, redemption was accomplished, and the Holy Spirit was given to God's people. John pointed toward the King. The least in the Kingdom gets to belong to the King.
