I miss gray Sunday mornings. In New England, the city of Boston is like that. Gray and dreary, sort of like, “ Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary” Poe, lived in Boston for a time. He lived not too far from the Combat Zone. Someone tried to give the area a sense of literary accomplishment by placing a brass plaque in his honor. The question remains however, did Edgar Poe help create the Combat Zone? An area of old Boston that was once filled with tattoo parlors, and seedy businesses, or did he try to change it.
