@english_queen7: Words have power, but do you know how different cultures check up on their friends? In this video, we explore how to say "How are you?" in multiple languages and what they actually mean when you translate them literally. Some countries ask about your heart, some ask how your day is going, and others keep it super casual. Language is so fascinating because a simple greeting shows how a culture values human connection.Watch until the end to see which country has the most poetic greeting. Did I miss your native language? Drop it in the comments with the English meaning so we can all learn! Don't forget to like, save, and share this with a friend you need to check in on today.#languages #howareyou #multilingual #learninglanguages #worldcultures

🚨 Handling the age belittler👇 🧠 It can cause a lot of stress and anxiety managing someone who is older than you let alone them then belittling you for being young. 🚫 Your natural instinct will be to defend yourself and fight back which is so natural. I would recommend avoiding this- you do not need to match someone else’s energy. 💡Instead don’t step into the dynamic they are trying to create. Stay calm and respectful whilst also keeping the conversation constructive. Here are 5 things I’d recommend: 1️⃣ Pause. Not only does this convey confidence it also gives you a moment to breathe and compose yourself. 2️⃣ Instead of defending yourself be the mature one and highlight that it’s something you need to talk about. 3️⃣ Acknowledge their concern/ perception confidently- it doesn’t mean you’re agreeing. 4️⃣ Ask them open questions to create shared responsibility in finding a way forward and to make the conversation constructive. For example: “How can we stop our age difference getting in the way of us working well together?” “if you did believe that we both have different skills & experience to bring because of our difference in age, how would we work well together?” 5️⃣ If they continue to be disrespectful you will need to set a boundary. Go to link in bio to grab a free copy of my heated interactions cheat sheet with phrases you can use. 📌 Please be mindful that the perspective offered in this video is generalised and won’t fit every situation so please follow your instincts about whether this applies to your situation.
