I truly believe his initial strategy was what Reddington thought would both be easier to win, but also what would be best for Lindsay. Not guilty by reason of insanity ensures she gets care for her own safety. Now, I think he has realized he has a good chance to win simply as a straight not guilty and he knows he may even be more likely to win with that strategy. People are missing the point that whether she did it or not doesn’t matter if the prosecution can’t prove it.

If they move forward with a re-trial. She is gonna plead not guilty and they're gonna rally up some of the best attorneys to go in that courtroom and wreck that ADA.
