@original.ramona: Here's my quick & easy cushion zipper method: 1. Cut the zipper boxing Cut TWO zipper boxing panels the same width as the cushion boxing. In the video, I cut mine 3 1/2 inches. 2. Sew the first side Fold one zipper boxing panel in half lengthwise and place the fold over the center of the zipper teeth. Sew close to the zipper teeth, about ¼" from the fold. You can use a regular presser foot or a zipper foot, depending on your fabric thickness. 3. Add the second side Fold the second zipper boxing panel in half lengthwise. Place it directly next to the first panel with no gap between them. Sew it the same way as the first side. 4. Trim Flip it over and trim away the excess zipper panel from the backside. 5. Install the zipper pull Separate the zipper. Insert one side of the zipper tape into one side of the pull, then insert the other side into the other side of the pull. They'll kind of "click" together. Slide the pull up about halfway. Leave the zipper closed. (You will open it after you finish sewing the cushion.) 6. Sew it into your cushion Your zipper is finished! Now sew the zipper boxing into your cushion as usual. Save this for the next cushion you make!
