His comments raised more questions than answers, particularly given he was not added to the injury report until nearly a week after the Rams game where he said he 'got nicked up.' Hurts is far from the biggest concern for the Eagles and their injury situation, though head coach Nick Sirianni said he is 'hopeful' Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith will return this weekend against the Carolina Panthers. Discussing their injury crisis earlier this month, Sirianni said: 'This is life in the NFL, and we will do the things that we can control to put ourselves in the best position to win against a very good football team. 'You will never hear me use anything as an excuse.
