nope. During the big freeze in Texas the online ones blocked ppl from changing them. Just buy the 7 day settings one but not the online ones.

you don't have to reprogram everything if you're home sick. all you do is turn the temperature up on a hold cycle. depending on your thermostat some of them last for as long as you have it on the hold cycle some of them last for like 4 hours and then go back to their programming. either way, you can be perfectly comfortable without having to reprogram anything

Just spent a month trying to get a new high efficiency champion variable speed compressor unit to work in my house and keep humidity under 60% it could never do it switched back to a two-speed heat pump system for my condenser and it works fine keeps the house around 53% humidity at 72°. The issue with the variable speed they work too well and end up never reaching a coil temperature that attracts moisture and can never drag humidity out of the air.

The only drawback I see to that is, I think these are the same ones that the electric company can connect with and shut your system down without you knowing it. If they need more energy somewhere else.

At what point do we debate leaving the temp the same all the time? Make everything in the house get to an optimal temperature and leave it. Is that even close to efficient?

So with the little white sensor blocks that you install in every room, how do you control the registers? That would be a complete redesign of the ventilation system. I suspect the little white blocks are going to be for new construction. Cannot see you installing programmable registers in existing systems. Sorry, not a good idea for the average homeowner. Or if you're willing to pay a fortune, be my guest.

It is all stupid. We don't need micromanagement of temperatures.
