@globalsouthworld: A Tel Aviv-bound flight. Almost all passengers are Israelis. Then, a pilot who tried to crash the plane. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Tel Aviv is preparing for any and all eventualities after what he described as an apparent attempt by one of the pilots aboard a Flydubai flight to bring down the aircraft. According to Netanyahu, one pilot stabbed the other and apparently tried to crash the plane with everyone on board as the Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight approached Israel. The aircraft ultimately diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where it landed safely. Netanyahu said Israeli authorities were in close contact with their counterparts to ensure the passengers remained safe and could return home. He added that Israel’s security systems were preparing for “additional potential threats” as assessments of the incident continued. There remain more questions than answers about what triggered the incident. But for now, Israel is keeping its guard up. #GSWNews #Flydubai #Israel #BenjaminNetanyahu #Aviation #SaudiArabia
