My horse who’s on 24/7 turnout also cribs guys, it’s not a stall issue. She learned the behavior before we got her and has just continued it.

every saying anti cribbing collar is wrong. my horse will have friends and amazing turn out and still crib. once they learn it they dont stop. cribbing can cause MANY issues if u dont intervene.

I know of several horses that are 24/7 outdoors and still crib. It’s horrible, but it is not automatically caused by being in a stall. Yes these collars are not the best, but a horse with no front teeth is way worse

unfortunately, it doesn't work. Horse can even do this more. The best option is to give horse more hay and let it go outside on huge paddock with friends.

We also use these for my horse, but we add like sports tape where it can pinch the horse and also these fluffy things you can put on the bridle. This makes it so it doesn’t pinch the horse and its more comfortable!

I'm not an expert on horses and I've never owned one, but from what I've learned, horses personalities are as unique as human's. Just because you know one thing about YOUR horse doesn't mean you know everything about someone's else's. Just because YOUR horse stopped cribbing because you changed it's environment doesn't mean that this one will

cribbing is actually a horses way to try to cope with stress (so for example not enough movement and enrichment or them being lonely or something.) especially horses, that are not able to go outside at all and are only kept in small confindments show this behaviour. Now if you try to forcefully stop it. It was actually shown that it only stresses the horse even more. Which is why in a lot of countries (like for example germany) these gadgets that are supposed to prevent cribbing are not allowed. The best thing you can do for a horse that shows this behaviour is to try to limit stress. give him enough space and food and maybe interaction with other horses as well as work where the horse actually has to think (like puzzles. tricks etc.). If a horse starts cribbing once it probably will never stop, but you are able to help him and better his "mental" health.
