I think a larger fuel jet would give it better throttle response and more top-end power; you can tell it needs more fuel.

Turn this into a project where you try to push the most power/top speed out of it. It will be interesting bc you probably can’t just source simple OEM or after market parts made for it specifically. You’re gonna really have to rig it up creatively

Use copper pads on the chrome It works good a vintage bmx racer does that and they polish out good
