what people don't get is that it seems easy to just cut deterrents like this because its never really been needed, but its like a massive international game of chess, if you take pieces off the board, it can allow forces currently being held in check to be able to operate freely, so you never know what might happen if that deterrent is suddenly moved off the board, its one of those things where you can't put a price on peace of mind
