This is one of two things most prop firm traders never learn. They don’t actually understand Risk because it’s not real, which is why they can’t transition to being real traders. Real traders use Risk Dynamically based on the setup. ex: my risk is always within a range, relative to the setup but never larger than my expected gain. The other issue is they don’t learn about entry placement and timing, mostly they think it’s relative to a candle close 🤦♂️.
