Amazing, non-viral skincare products that helped clear my acne and nourish my dry, sensitive skin ✨ I’ve been on a skincare journey for almost 7 years. In my mid-20s, my skin completely changed and I developed hormonal acne for the first time ever. It has been one of the most frustrating, draining things I’ve ever dealt with. But these last 10 months have been a turning point. I was soooo lucky to find an esthetician that was not only so knowledgeable about all things skin and skincare, but took her time at every single appointment to break it down for me and helped build a routine that actually worked for me. The before and after (last slide) says it all 🥰 One of the most important things I’ve learned about skincare is that it is DEEPLY PERSONAL. What works for me is not gonna work for everyone else and vice versa. We all have different skin types and different lifestyles which call for different needs. Either way, I wanted to share what’s actually been working for my skin because it’s not hyped-up, overpriced stuff. It’s simple, consistent, and mostly from smaller, lowkey brands that understand sensitive skin. To break it down: ✨ I stuck to a gentle, consistent routine tailored to my skin that prioritized hydration 🧖🏽‍♀️ I started getting monthly facials w/ chemical peels (game changer) 🧴 I use products chosen by my esthetician, not TikTok 💊 And yes—I restarted Spironolactone. But the first time I tried it, it didn’t help because my skincare routine was honestly trash 🫠 This time around it’s working WITH my skincare, not on its own, and that’s made all the difference. These are some of the products I’ve been loving: @Niche Beauty Lab Transparent Lab Rose Calming Cleanser @Regimen Lab Tabula Rasa Cleanser & Wave Serum #curist Adapalene Gel @Chemist Confessions Aquafix @Malezia Skincare Benzoyl Peroxide @Geek & Gorgeous Happier Barrier My amazing esthetician is @Emily Los Angeles Esthetician 🫶🫶🫶🫶 None of this is sponsored; just genuinely wanted to share what’s helped my skin calm down, feel nourished, and start healing. If you’ve got reactive, acne-prone skin like mine, I hope this helps you feel less alone. 💗 You don’t need a 12-step routine or the “it girl” $100 serums to see real progress. Just patience, consistency, and products that are actually made for your skin. Let me know if you want my full routine. And drop your fave underrated skincare brand below, I’m always curious what’s out there 🫶🏼 #dryskincare #dryskinroutine #sensitiveskincare #acneproneskin #skincarecarousel #nonviralbuteffective #underratedskincare #beforeandafterskin #estheticianapproved #affordableskincare #spironolactonejourney
