It's not for Ekiti people alone, Ijesha people also cook it, in fact it is one of their soups when they are sick.

Yes o popularly cooked by Ekiti mothers especially when you are sick, they cook it with all kinds of herbs in proportion especially Ajo+Epo ira + Kooro owu +posa+ata ijosi +lemon grass + iru Ekiti + omunu ewe cashew + omunu ewe koko +aidan toro etc with dry fish or fresh sea fish or bush meat e.g grasscutter, antelope etc. you can drink it like soup if it’s made light and if it’s thick you can use it to eat pounded yam or semovita. You will sweat and pee out fever fast, also good for mothers who newly put to bed, it will clean her up well. Proudly Aramoko Ekiti.
