What if you can't understand the scripture? People back then spoke differently than we do now. The way they spoke is nothing on how we speak now. It's like you speak the same language but you can't understand because it's slang.

I’m still learning the Word of God, and it’s changing my heart every day. 🙏🏽 Life can be heavy, but Jesus gives me peace even while I’m going through it. I pray for understanding before I read, and I’m learning to take my time and let His Word sink in. Keep opening that Bible, even if it’s one chapter at a time. ✝️❤️

Ecclesiastes makes you realize that life is nothing without God and the first time I read it I felt depressed and I had to go back and read it again with the understanding of the promise of eternal salvation!

If you are new to reading I recommend before you open the book, pray. Ask The Holy Spirit to help you understand what you are reading. He will lead and guide you through. Without Him there is no understanding any of The Word of God no matter the version is. God bless you!

here's the hangup I have. theres so many different versions of the Bible which one is correct? Everyone claims the version they read is but is it? I get deep into scripture then someone says what version are you reading? oh thats the wrong one......this is the right one. Now we have pastors calling out pastors, churches calling out churches. im a strong believer but this is alot and heavy

I understand the sentiment but dude read it all man .. I am new and going through for the second time I am so excited because this is second time through whole thing and once I hit New Testament it will be the 3rd.. I can tell you this much it is custom for the individual I will tell you Leviticus and numbers is tough but read the whole thing things will jump of the page at you and you will be sobbing then the next moment you will have joy because it is all covered and god gives everything.. Jesus is lord and every tongue will confess

If you are a brand new Christian, I feel like starting in the New Testament with Matthew is the best starting point…. The New Testament is like a condensed version of the Bible, gives you both insight on both the old and new covenant while explaining who Jesus is 🙏🙏🙏
