I've seen most of my friends move to Colorado, Florida and the Carolinas after that damn fire. My brothers boss passed as a result days later the entire thing was a shit show. Meanwhile in chico home owners were evicting renters (some made homeless) to sale their homes at a excessive profits. Those were dark, dark times and many who rented their still has not recovered. PG&E rightfully owed land owners but should of looked after everyone impacted including those in Oroville in chico once the housing crunch hit. Paradise is better protected today but a fire like that is still possible just not as quick.
