My proudest mom moments happened about 8 or 9 years ago. My oldest had a friend over, they were drinking (both of age to purchase alcohol) There were 2 girls with them. one of those girls, the one that came with his friend was overly intoxicated. My son came to me to help intervene. Shortly after I went downstairs she passed out. I had my son call 911, she started sweating buckets and threw up on her clothing, so I kicked out the boys and had her friend help me get her changed in a t-shirt and shorts. We found out later she had 5 times the legal limit of alcohol in her system. Her dad showed up later and I was able to assure him that I never left her alone, and that her friend and I changed her, and that I could guarantee she was not touched inappropriately. My son never spoke to that friend again, and I think it was the first time he realized that the guy you think is a "good guy" may not be. 2 weeks later my son met the woman who would become his wife
