@iloveopaque: On September 27, 2026, male Ping Ping and female Fu Shuang, both born in 2020 at China’s Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport aboard a specially dedicated FedEx Boeing 777 known as the “FedEx Panda Express.” FedEx donated the transportation for the animals. The arrival is particularly notable because Zoo Atlanta had been without giant pandas since October 2024, when its previous four pandas—including the famous Lun Lun and Yang Yang—returned to China after a 25-year partnership. The new pair are coming to Atlanta under a 10-year conservation and research agreement with the China Wildlife Conservation Association, making Zoo Atlanta one of only three U.S. zoos currently housing giant pandas. #animals #china #usa #fyp #fyppp
