Makes no sense for owners to not be able to invest in a club they purchased. The whole idea of purchasing a club is to invest in it and make it successful. Roman Abramovich did the same with Chelsea. The financial rules only favours the existing “big” clubs that are run as a cash cow by the owners (speaking as a united fan). Did city break the rules YES, but they also proved that financial investment in a club is necessary for the club to compete in Europe and history will remember City’s historic run to success. The rules have to be adjusted so clubs like Newcastle and Aston villa will not have to sell their top players but rather compete for titles. The same should be done in La Liga to stop Barca and Madrid dominance.
