You touched on a topic few people discuss. When you're being abused like that...it attracts other abusers. You become surrounded by them so there isn't a safe place/person to go to. I will never question why someone who's being/been abused doesn't speak out because it's not always safe to do so.

I’m also a child hood survivor. My monster died in May and at 44 this is the most freeing I have ever felt . I’m so sorry you and your brothers also had to live that life .

the hardest thing to grasp for me is realizing so many of our mothers KNEW 😭💔 also heavily, heavily relate to feeling that my only worth is providing s*x & being a s*xual object 💔 I'm 39 & finally working through it, but my entire life I felt that way, bc that's how I was treated

you did so well! you should be so very proud of yourself, i know that I am! The end broke me a little bc even though we were children, we still feel like we should have been able to stop them from hurting anyone else. I eventually told bc i could see the way hw started looking at my sister,who is 6 years younger than me, i was 9. He admitted it, but my family brushed it under the rug, blamed it on him being schizophrenic (he was my great uncle and babysitter from 3 to 9 yrs old) My family called me dramatic and crazy for not wanting to be around him at family functions. I was the problem for telling the truth, yet i found out later her went on to hurt at least 1 more of my cousins after i told. At 18 I gave my family an ultimatum: me or him...they chose him. They have tried to mend things after his death. I moved out of state at 21 and rarely go back. i am no contact with the ones who chose a literal rapest monster over me!
