This for you and any other person that exhibits a fluency in many skills: I’m quitting my 7 year “career” (24 - 31) as a MUNI operator in Jan to pursue my younger self’s ideation of being a working artist. I could do a myriad of things if I wanted to but, because I actually just wanted to be an artist, I think any career I chose would end up dissolving. In the lens of western science it’s because (im pretty sure — no test yet) that I am AuDHD. I need to be able to make my own flexible schedules; I need to hone my intelligence only into things I am passionate for to come away from “working” feeling energized to take care of myself; and to find relief from my bodies response to experiencing constant stress — partially due to the incongruity between not doing what I need/want and doing what other’s think I need/want. I’m pretty sure I’ll do just fine — I’m pretty sure you’ll do great.

I think you’re right - even if you fail - worst case scenario - it’s not necessarily forever. You can try again or it can work out the way you want it to (I’m hoping for that for you obviously). Nothing you do is ever wasted and as long as you remember that you’ll be - well, less terrified anyway lol. The best practical advice I can give you is- not that you asked - is to concentrate on making a good product that fills a need. That’s the key, the rest follows. Best of luck to you

Don't listen to the fear. I let it talk me in to missing an opportunity years ago, and I've kicked myself ever since. The really scary thing is wondering what if. You can do it!
