CAL :
Venezuela:
• DHS terminated the 2023 TPS designation, and the Supreme Court allowed it to take effect on Oct 3, 2025.
• The separate 2021 designation terminated Nov 7, 2025.
• A small group who got EADs/approval notices before Feb 5, 2025 kept work authorization until Oct 2, 2026.
Haiti (and Syria):
• On June 25, 2026, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Trump v. Miot that courts cannot review DHS decisions to end TPS, allowing the administration to end it.
• The termination went into effect July 27, 2026 — work permits ended.
• A federal judge then confirmed DHS can terminate TPS for Haiti, noting Haitian TPS holders are now in the same position Venezuelan holders were in 2025 — termination in effect while litigation continues.
The article summarizing the second Trump administration says it has ended or moved to end TPS for 13 countries, with Venezuelans, Haitians and Hondurans as some of the largest groups impacted, and notes the June 2026 Supreme Court decision allowed termination for Haiti and Syria.
