Brilliant scene between Lucius and Draco! No dialogues here but none are needed as you can read it all in their eyes, Lucius' expression after he sees Draco, how it changes, how on earth can you create such scenes??? I am in absolute awe with each facial expression in Defector, this is mastery level 15 out of 10! Plotwise also brilliant- I've been thinking since Wednesday HOW it might play out, WHAT would Lucius do, nothing remotely good came to my head or imagination! I still can't tell if Lusius let Harry petrify him on purpose to avoid the duel after he saw the rest of the crew, or if he was just slow to react. We will probably get an answer in the BOOK when we get to this chapter. But in any case being petrified was probably the best possible outcome for all! And that spell that Lucius cast and Harry deflected, it almost ricocheted to Draco, Hermione and Luna! That was one of the moments I almost tore my hand rest for a souvenir!
