why do we only consider consent when it comes to the women?? I’m sure this has been asked, but legally speaking, I’m confused why it is one sided. Is it because most of the physical action is done by the man?? For oral sex though one could say she was the one assaulting since the one committing the action. Especially if like in her statement the guy just passed out and lost his erection. Isn’t that literally sexual assault if she is performing oral sex on someone who just passes out. I’m just so confused why level of intoxication is only considered for the female and NEVER for the man.

Her drunkenness is also inconsistent with the original report. In the report, she says she was a five out of 10, and at most an eight out of 10 by the end of the night, but somewhere else she was saying she was completely wasted and didn’t know what was going on.

If I was sending my daughter to college or university right now I would be telling her before she left to tell me first if anything happens to her , no school involvement, letting the school have a say in this type of crime is absolute bollocks !! Their first instinct is to protect the schools reputation above all else .

What happened here is awful. But this case is not nearly as black-and-white as some people want to make it. She said herself that she consented to having sex with two of the boys and that was the reason she went there. Fine. But consent to two people does not equal consent to everyone who walks through the door. That’s where things clearly went off the rails. I believe NO means NO. The problem is, we need to establish when that NO happened, who heard it, who knew what was happening, and who continued anyway. None of us were standing in that room, so pretending we already know every detail is just nonsense. And frankly, I keep coming back to the group chat message: “the shops still open.” That is not exactly a Hallmark greeting. If that message can be tied to what was happening at the time, that is where I think investigators need to start digging. It could tell us a lot about who knew what, when they knew it, and what happened after. This isn't about giving anyone a pass. It's about charging people based on what they actually did and what can actually be proven—not simply because they were in the room.
