My problem is is that they’re trying to use past childhood abuse to justify an excuse what she did. I was abused in every sense of the word as a child by more than one person and I have never hurt anyone. What they’re doing by throwing up the, “she was abused”, card victimizes us abuse survivors all over again. It is not fair to us abuse survivors who got therapy and overcame what was done to us and made sure the abuse stopped at us. The abuse that was inflicted upon me, stopped at me and that’s my whole problem with them using that to get her out of punishment. I do not support the death penalty, not that I don’t think what she has done doesn’t warrant the death penalty, I am a Christian Catholic. According to the tenants of my faith I cannot support the death penalty and that’s the only reason I don’t support it. She doesn’t get to say, “hey I was abused don’t inflict a sentence upon me.” That’s not fair to me and any other abuse survivor who made sure the abuse stopped at them. Christa Pike chose to do what she did. Her childhood abuse didn’t make her do it. She did it all on her own.

My dad beat my mom and my sisters and brothers.For many many years. He pushed me through a glass front door landing on the concrete once. he kicked me out at eighteen , and I never looked back. I too suffered from childhood Neglect and abuse but I have never , ever beat or murdered anyone. I moved on from my childhood abuse and made my life that I have now. i don't feel that she should be throwing her child abuse into the race of why she should stay alive. This is purely my opinion.

That poor victims parents. Travelling there and then having this stay put in place. They said they would have to miss their mortgage payment to be able to afford to travel to Tennessee. They would have already made the travel before this stay happened.
