Did they do a stool test to confirm it’s CMPA? My son had the same thing, but stool test was negative. Turns out the rash was just newborn things and the congestion was from reflux. We were prescribed meds for it and now he’s 3 months and thriving!

So my son’s doctor just told me you don’t actually pass anything through breast milk…. She said the allergies are more likely to happen if there’s an open wound on the skin. 😳

They grow out of it, it’s most of the time temporary, my son grew out of it around 6-7 months still breast feeding!!

My girl has cmpa! She also can’t have soy egg or gluten! It’s been such a long journey! I have so much advice you are welcome to message me! I also will say this group on Facebook is the absolute best with understanding everything to cut out as well as all the fast foods you can eat and what to get and they have meal mondays and people will put what meals they do on there!

Had to do this when breastfeeding my son. Unfortunately he’s still allergic to dairy, but you just start finding supplements and incorporate them into your life and slowly transition your diet. For coffee switched for oat milk. Avocado butter is also great to cook with! It literally tastes just like butter. At chick fil a we get grilled nuggets lol. A lot of protein while eating at restaurants

My son had CMPA too and grew out of it around 10 months! Going dairy-free was definitely a sacrifice, but SO worth it. Hang in there, mama! 🤍

No dairy is rough for the first couple weeks but you get used to it. Super worth it tho for our babies 😊 also I think they grow out of it so you can get back to dairy in a few months

The hardest part is cutting out cheese but there’s so many good alternatives and a lot of stuff surprisingly doesn’t contain dairy. It gets easier! coconut milk specifically in a can replaces heavy cream in soups and other recipes really well. country crock also has a plant based heavy whipping cream that’s amazing. I still only use their plant based butter too. Oreos are actually dairy free fun fact. Soy milk is my favorite milk alternative for recipes. Ben and jerry’s makes good dairy free ice cream. Chick-fil-a you’ll have to go grilled instead of fried chicken. I love a grilled club but with a regular bun instead of the whole grain bun and make sure the bun isn’t buttered and no cheese ofc. The So Delicious brand coconut milk yogurt is my favorite dairy free yogurt. Anything kite hill is gross just avoid it lol. Philadelphia makes a good plant based cream cheese. Boursin makes a really good dairy free garlic and herb cheese spread alternative that’s so good on charcuterie boards. I remember cooking a lot of red sauce pasta and asian food when I was completely dairy free. Trader joe’s has so many good dairy free snacks too. My favorite thing is their chocolate sunflower butter cups. They’re completely vegan. Hope this helps💕

My son had cows milk protein intolerance! So not an allergy but still could not tolerate dairy until he was 10 months. He also had skin symptoms, and so much gas/colic. I highly recommend joining the dairy free breastfeeding FB page!! It saved me. I did a lot of chipotle and chick fil a. For snacks I loved heavenly hunks, IQ protein bars, forager cashew milk yogurt, DF bagels with DF cream cheese, overnight oats, sandwiches with DF cheese. Also make sure ur not using noodle and boo lotion. It uses casein (milk protein), which always made my baby break out.

My daughter also had CMPA around two months they told me to cut out dairy completely. Went in for her four month appointment and the doctor told me I could start trying to slowly add things here and there. She had one or two flareups but otherwise she’s been good and she is now almost 6 months. So happy I can have my dairy again. My understanding is most of them are able to grow out of it as long as you stay strict with the diet for a few months.
