@moonlit_kit: What part of October Slide do you struggle with the most?? For me, it’s absolutely the big shifts in temperature and pressure. It flares my POTS up horribly and makes my joints ache so bad 😅 #chronicallyill #chronicillness #disability #disabled #octoberslide
the October slide felt very september-ish this year. I feel like I was in a flare the whole month.

First October with a new chronic condition! So scared 😃. (still in process of 1000% diagnosis but we're 99.9% sure)

I have already started my transition. I've forgot it happens every year, wonder why I'm in pain and then remember why. I've been suffering all September

Newly disabled here! This is really good information. I’ve heard of the October slide but haven’t thought of ways to mitigate/monitor it yet

using accessibility tools even when I "dont need it" is the hardest😮💨 im always glad when I do have them but admiting that I need my walker or wheelchair is the tricky part, especially when it feels like an inconvenience to others🫤

My body when the barometric pressure starts to change in either direction before the change is even enough to actually register on my barometer and barometer app:

The summer heat really helps my joint pain and stiffness, but messes with my dysautonomia and ME fatigue.
The cold weather helps me with allergies and nausea, but really effs up my mobility.
It's a lose/lose situation! 🤷♀️🤦♀️

I’m in Oregon and totally torn. Summer is terrible and I love the cooler temps, clouds, and rain. But the wild pressure mayhem is cracking me already! 🤕

Ironically enough, my Oura ring told me a few days ago that my cumulative stress was in the low range for the first time since the beginning of the year!

My "October slide" started about 2 weeks ago. (For whatever reason, it came early this year.) I generally starts in October, then I will have more severe symptoms through March. (My conditions are greatly aggravated by cold.) Hugs to my fellow sufferers... 💕

I just moved this month and I also live in a cold northern place so it was a huge struggle. HOWEVER we moved out of our old place that was very moldy and only had north facing windows. we now have a not moldy house with mostly south facing windows! we have sunlight inside i can sit in the windows and soak it up! we've been here 1 month and i already feel sooo much better.
