People don’t bring the bill your table because nobody pays with cash and we haven’t for like decades and no one wants a random person to run away with your card. I know people do that in America, but people wouldn’t put up with it here. There are a couple of restaurants where they bring a machine and your table but honestly it’s annoying for the wait staff. The other reason is that by letting it be that you go up and pay there’s no risk of the customer ever feeling rushed out. You choose when you want to leave no one is hovering around with a cheque.

We don’t use yelp. We generally use word of mouth when going out to eat. We ask friends and family if they have been there and what their experience was like.

If you're looking for a American Lemonade you're closest bet will be either lemon squash or a cold pressed juice lemonade

nono. all chips are chips but take out chips like maccas are chips (or fries if they need to be distinguished). hot chips is specifically NOT french fries. Hot chips are the more standard thicker cut ones you get at a fish n chips or a tuck.

American style lemonade is usually called home made lemonade or something similar. It's also a lot less sweet though

I feel like Aussies dont need context with 'chips l' because we dont have "crisps" with meals like other countries. if your going to have dinner with chips its going to be French fries, if someone has bought a packet of chips to school for recess its going to he crisps.

you forgot theres a big difference in how aus and us defines burgers. what you guys call a chicken sandwich is still a chicken burger here unless it was to use slices from a loaf of bread.

First time having to hand over my bank card to the wait staff at a restaurant for them to go around a corner away from my eye view for them to charge me freaked me out. Even at some nice restaurants here in Aus we still pay at the till. A lot of nice restaurants bring the eftpos machine to the table too.
