Move to a smaller home, explain the situation to your kids and let them know they’re gonna have to figure some things out if he was paying for their college, get a lawyer. My dad did this after 20 years with my mom. I was in college, my sister was in high school. Stopped paying all bills, maxed out everything and filed for bankruptcy. He literally just left us and we had to move to a new state to live with family. Then, just a couple months ago, my step dad (who I called my dad), did the same thing after like 15 years and just abandoned us all. Wants nothing to do with the grandkids who are named after him who have known him their whole lives. What is wrong with men? Its insane.
