Yeah, cutting corners won’t do it for you. I used to think like that but after years and years i can play whatever i want whenever i want. Think of this as building your library so you always have options. Having a list of 10 tracks won’t do it. Having crates for multiple situations helps more. Lets have an example here: you can first divide by timeslot(warmup, pre-main, maine, after) then divide each one for outside or indoor, then divide each by energy and role(high energy- connectors, emotional, dancing, build up and whatever you may think of thst is relevant for you).

These tools don’t teach you anything! How do you become an expert? You put in 10,000 hours! That means unless you are putting In The time you will never get better. I used to play at least 6 hours a day. If you sound like sneakers in a dryer, you’ll learn what songs don’t go together. Stop relying on your eyes staring at a screen. It’s your ears that make you better. Once you learn your music, you can start being creative.

Great tool !!! but the best tool in your bag is always gonna be your ears. Listen to your playlist over and over again and start to pay attention to the phrasing of each song. Get on your board and work that playlist top to bottom, you’ll start to catch on to where to move in and out of your songs.

i do not agree with these tools as i think they take away the creativity potential in you try making a play list and in your sotware thay you use find tje drops and gaps and mix points your self. this will teach you song structure and give you anatural skill that will never go away

I really recommend you to play a bit an style that aloud you to mix always in the same way, so you can feel more equalisation and feel what an old school DJ means. it's very easy but the way mix some keinemusik and black coffe and you don't even need to know what are you playing, u Will mix on the same way with long smooth mixes. it may gives you a new useful feeling of DJ to incorporate to EDM
